COC takes part in the tradition of Thursday night festivities in Pella by hosting the event the Thursday evening prior to our Annual Golf Classic. The evening will be filled with entertainment provided by local musicians and other activities. For dinner, enjoy a pork patty. A benefit auction will finish out the fun.
Get together some friends or co-workers and enjoy an afternoon of golf! At the Annual COC Golf Classic, four-member teams playing best-ball rules will hit the links to raise money for COC. Each player pays a fee that includes 18 holes of golf, green fees, cart, evening meal, golf shirt, gift bag, and some fabulous prizes.
Prizes and player packets are provided by businesses and individuals, which have partnered with the Christian Opportunity Center in supporting the COC Foundation through the Annual Golf Classic. Prizes will be given for winning flag and flight, hole-in-one, closest to the pin, and lowest score.
The First Annual COC Run, Walk, and Roll will provide an opportunity for interaction between the community of Indianola and the people we support. The 5K course is appropriate for all types of participation--walking, running, or rolling in a wheelchair. The event coincides with Indianola’s Log Cabin Days festival, which is sponsored by the Warren County Historical Society.
COC board members and staff will join family members and friends of the people COC supports for fellowship and a celebration of our year’s successes.
